Stalking

Deer stalking in Scotland has got to be one of the most majestic and challenging sporting experiences available.  The Scottish Highlands are home to the Red deer population where they live in their natural habitat among the wild and rugged hills, mountains and woodland, venturing onto the lower ground in the winter. A day on the hill can be a truly memorable experience with so much to learn from a professional stalker. A red stag silhouetted on the horizon during ‘the rut’ has got to be one of the most magical scenes to be witnessed.

The Red deer is the largest mammal in Britain and has been a true survivor over the centuries, even through the Ice Age when their natural woodland habitat was buried under the ice. Deer stalking has become a popular sporting pursuit and is now very much a sporting tradition, whilst contributing to deer management.  Deer management is a vital part of maintaining a healthy herd. The skill of a professional stalker in his selection process is paramount to keeping a healthy head of deer on sporting estates throughout Scotland.

We are privileged to have access to some of the finest stalking available on sporting estates throughout Scotland. We look forward to arranging your memorable stalking experience. Call us on +44 131 476 6500 or email us on info@georgegoldsmith.com to arrange your stalking experience.
