Rottal Lodge works best for up to 16 guests.

In addition, there is a four bedroom farmhouse and a one bedroom Bothy which can be rented in conjunction with the main house.

Sporting

If you are interesting in some fishing during your stay, you can experience the rush of Salmon fishing along 3.5 miles of the South Esk river or enjoy a more peaceful pace at the trout loch stocked with both brown and rainbow trout. You’ll also find wild brown trout fishing at Loch Wharral – a 40 acre loch situated about 2000 ft above sea level with bothy.

Surrounded by 8,000 acres of wild Scottish countryside, the estate is the perfect location for a retreat and to enjoy outdoor activities

Take a walk through the rolling hills of Glen Clova to enjoy some spectacular views and explore the varied wildlife. There are over 100 different species of bird either breeding or visiting the estate include Lapwing, Curlew, Golden Plover, Whimbrel, Greenshank, Redshank, Ring Ouzel, Golden Eagle, Osprey, Merlin, Red Kite and Peregrine. In addition there are Red Squirrels, Pine Martens, Otters, and you may even spot the occasional Wild Cat.

The terrain ranges from 800 to 3,000ft above sea level so if you are looking for a challenging hike the estate can advise you on the best routes available.
