Welcome to the Big House!

The Big House Lodge and conference center is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwestern Virginia. It is owned by the LaPrelle family, and rented to organizations and private individuals by the week or for the weekend.

The Association for Research & Enlightenment's Atlantic University has been holding residential classes at the Big House since the 1970s, and the A.R.E. Camp runs satellite youth programs here every summer. 2008 is our third year hosting Henry Reed's Creative Spirit Revival. The Big House is available to your group, organization or family for programs, workshops, family reunions, or vacations.
